Book it! WWE Survivor Series Predictions & Analysis

The 25th anniversary of Survivor Series is live this Sunday and it features two Team Red vs Team Blue traditional 5 on 5 matches. Plus Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles in a Champion vs Champion clash.

Enzo Amore (c) vs. Kalisto for the WWE Cruiserweight Title

HBIC: Enzo has been doing a solid job as a heel champ, and having Gulak is the perfect side-kick for Enzo. S-O-F-T SOFT! Classic Gulak! Rumors are circulating that Neville and WWE are in talks for his return. If he does return, I’d expect him to cost Enzo the title somehow. But if rumors are just rumors, then Enzo wins again and continues to bring eyes to 205

Bologna: “How you doin?” I’m doing well thank you for asking. lol Drew Gulak has made the most of his opportunity and has quickly become a very funny promo. His timing in delivering his lines is outstanding. Good for Gabagulak. As for the match itself, I’d imagine Gulak interferes and costs Kalisto the title or something smarmy like that.

In regards to Neville’s return, If he does comeback I don’t think It’ll be in the CW division. He’s honestly too good for that. I’d like for Neville to have a run at the IC title or United States Championship wherever he ends up.

Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos

HBIC: Not much to say about this match. The two best in ring tag teams are gonna put on a slobber-knocker of a match and steal the show. THIS IS AWESOME! Usos win.

Bologna: It’s weird how this matchup can be so good, yet there isn’t much to say on it. Both teams will wrestle their dicks off. It’ll be stiff. It’ll be physical. It’ll be fun. That’s all I’ve got. Uso’s win because they’ve been fucking awesome of late.

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair

HBIC: When Charlotte got the title shot a week before Survivor Series, everyone and their mudder knew that she was gonna win. No way was Vince gonna go with Natalya vs Alexa in a Champion vs Champion match. Prior to Asuka’s arrival, the division was Alexa and Charlotte. Charlotte killing it in the ring. Alexa killing it on the mic/character. Only made sense to put your two best women against each other. That said, I don’t see how Alexa wins this match after Charlotte just won the belt 5 days prior. I think Alexa’s loss will finally set up a feud with Asuka where she will win and have another epic undefeated title reign.

Bologna: The shadow of Asuka looms large over this match. I don’t see the Raw women’s team losing. My guess is that it’ll be the Asuka show. So if Raw wins the SS match. That means Charlotte wins this match against Bliss. I just don’t see a scenario where one team wins both matches because they’d be effectively burying a whole women’s division.

UNLESS, Bliss somehow beats Charlotte and then Carmella finally cashes in. That’s the only way Raw can win both matches and SD can still look strong with a new women’s champion. I like that!

Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. United States Champion Baron Corbin

HBIC: The trash talking between the Miz and Corbin on Twitter has been some A+ material. Its a shame they didn’t highlight it more or even had some kinda video promo that interrupts another promo. So instead all we got was a lot of epic trash talking from the Miz and a silent Corbin. They really dropped the ball on this on. They could have built on the personal aspect of this and made it more must see. But this is WWE so I’m not surprised they fucked it up. This should be a solid match, but could have been much much more.

Bologna:  I disagree with HBIC on this one. I think WWE along with both Miz and Corbin have made something out of nothing. They used social media to the best of their abilities and made this match at least interesting. Miz has been money as always, but Corbin talking about Maryse twice, once after he was told not to is mucho bueno. I think the build up has been solid considering this match will be a “one off.” They’re not going to feud beyond SS. So this is about as good as it could’ve gotten. The match itself should be interesting. The Miz will be working babyface so that’ll be fun to see and that’s what’ll roll with. Miz beats Corbin and gets a massive babyface pop in a year where he’s been one of the better heels in the company.

The Shield vs. The New Day

HBIC: The two most popular factions of the past 5 years not named Bullet Club square off again this Sunday. We all remember some of their previous epic matches, so I highly expect this one to deliver too. With the Shield all being former world champs, and Reigns just returning, I dont see a scenario where The New Day wins… but someone is def getting powerbombed through a table. That’s a FACT.

Bologna: Speaking of working heel. How about The New Day leading the #underseige invasion. Then costing The Shield the tag tiles a few weeks later. The New Day is effectively the bad guys in this match. Crazy. I’m with HBIC on this one. I don’t see how the Shield loses this one. Bet the house on The Shield

Team Raw (Alicia Fox, Nia Jax, Asuka, Sasha Banks, and Bayley) vs. Team SmackDown (Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, Tamina and Natalya)

HBIC: Legit question: If Asuka gets pinned, but team Raw still wins the match does that end her undefeated streak? If team Raw doesn’t win does that end her undefeated streak too? Either way. I don’t see a scenario where they don’t book Asuka as an unstoppable force. I’m 100% confident they won’t have her take an L in any fashion and team Raw will dominate Smackdown unequivocally.

Bologna: Welcome to the Asuka show. I spoke about it earlier but I fully expect a 5-2 or 4-1 scenario where Asuka is the buzzsaw that has the epic comeback. Not only would that be fun to watch but it can show the casual viewer who might not watch NXT just how awesome Asuka can be.

Team Raw (Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, and Triple H) vs. Team SmackDown (Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, and John Cena)

HBIC: I seriously seriously thought Team Raw was gonna win this match. Then 3 things happened. Triple H joins Team Raw, John Cena no shows, and Smackdown gets beat down in epic fashion on the go-home show. Triple H is in pure get people over mode now. Everyone was expecting Cena to run out and help Smackdown, but he didn’t. And the fact Angle had the last laugh pretty much locks in a Smackdown win. Plus a loss for Team Raw continues the Angle vs Stephanie/Triple H feud. Somehow Jason Jordan will turn on his “dad” and make this more interesting. Since Cena never made an appearance on Tuesday I’m predicting Cena makes his triumphant return gives team blue the win.

Bologna: Triple H is in get people over mode? As a creative executive, yes absolutely. As a wrestler, never ever ever. Dude has buried more people than the Sinaloa cartel. I don’t see Smackdown winning. Braun will start off destroying everyone. SD will rally and all come together to eliminate Braun but in the end Raw has more fire power. Plus lets not forget about Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. They have a score to settle. I can totally see Pinky (Sami) and The Brain (KO) purposefully causing Smackdown to lose.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion AJ Styles

HBIC: THANK YOU VINNY! *clap clap clap clap clap* THANK YOU VINNY! *clap clap clap clap clap* THANK YOU VINNY! *clap clap clap clap clap* NO ONE wanted to see Brock vs Jinder. That was a joke of a main event. Props to Vince for making a WM quality match with the company’s biggest draw vs the company’s best in ring performer. This should be great. AJ makes anyone he steps in the ring with even better. The only question is will Brock be able to go a face-paced 15 minutes with AJ. My guess is no. But should still be entertaining. But I do think Brock wins.

Bologna: It’s here. It’s here. It’s that part of the blog again. It’s time for Bologna to book a way to get The Bullet Club together. I know I’ve blogged this in basically every PPV preview. But this one makes sense so here we go.

First of all, AJ vs Brock is a dream match regardless so I’m pretty happy however this thing goes unless it’s another Brock squash ppv, which I don’t think will happen. But it’s been said that WWE was thinking of a Brock vs Finn feud ever since he returned from injury. How can you get that feud sparked? By a Bullet Club run in costing Brock a main event victory. Imagine a 15-20 minute slobber-knocker from Brock and Aj. Right when Brock is going to hit the final F5, here comes Gallows and Anderson. They get Brock’s attention and from behind Finn attacks. Double footed drop kick & Coup de grace later. Aj wins and Brock vs Finn is born. Too Sweets all around and end scene… Bologna cum everywhere.
